PORT ANGELES — On Sunday, community members can test-drive a new Ford or Lincoln and help the Port Angeles High School at the same time.
Price Ford of Port Angeles has teamed up with Port Angeles High School for the Drive One 4 UR School fundraiser, set for Walmart, 3471 E. Kolonels Way, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For each test drive taken by a participant, $20 will be donated to the high school.
There will be no pressure to buy a vehicle. There is a limit of one test drive per address.
Each driver must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license.
Car seats cannot be accommodated for this event.
The fundraiser can earn upwards of $6,000 for Career & Technical Educational Leadership and Science Clubs at the high school.
The Ford Motor Company’s Drive One 4 UR School program began in 2007 and since then has sponsored 1,500 events in 49 states, raising more than $5 million for before- and after-school activities in high schools across the country.
Funds raised during the Drive One 4UR School programs ensure extracurricular activities like sports and music program, plus career and technical education programs, continue in local communities.
