PORT LUDLOW — One person was injured when stop-and-go traffic turned into a three-car wreck on state Highway 104 one mile west of the intersection with state Highway 19.
At 5:25 p.m. Sunday, Xu Gao, 23, of Bellevue, Chen Qian, 24, of Kirkland and Amiel J. Martin-Abadi, 31, of Bellingham were each driving east on Highway 104 at Milepost 8 in stop-and-go traffic, according to a State Patrol report.
The report said Martin-Abadi, in a blue 2005 Subaru Outback, and Qian, in a white 2013 BMW 328 4D, stopped for traffic.
Gao’s white 2014 Audi Q5 collided with Qian’s BMW, and the BMW was pushed forward and collided with Martin-Abadi’s Subaru.
A passenger in Gao’s vehicle, Xueting Shan, 24, of Redmond was injured and transported to Jefferson Healthcare’s emergency room.
Shan was treated for her injuries and released, a hospital spokeswoman said Monday.
Gao was cited for speed too fast for conditions, the State Patrol report said.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were thought to have contributed to the wreck.
