PORT ANGELES — Washington State University Clallam County’s Lois Bellamy will demonstrate how to start seeds indoors in the commissioners’ meeting room at the Clallam County Courthouse.
The presentation, “Starting Seeds Indoors,” starts at noon Thursday.
Bellamy will address what a transplant is, why to use transplants, which vegetables transplant well and how to grow transplants.
She will explain what kinds of plants can be grown indoors from seed and what supplies are needed. She also will explain how to care for the plantings before and after germination, and how to prepare the for transplant.
This presentation is part of the “Green Thumbs Garden Tips” brown bag series sponsored by the WSU Clallam County Master Gardeners on the second and fourth Thursday of every month in Port Angeles.
The presentations are free and open to the public; however, donations to help offset copying costs for handouts are accepted.
