A major computer system failure Saturday caused the elimination of news Sunday on www.peninsuladailynews.com and delayed delivery of the Peninsula Daily News to subscribers and single-copy purchasers.
The computer system, on which news reporters write, editors edit and lay out artists paginate the news, sports and features in the PDN, suddenly failed shortly after noon Saturday and was not fully operational again until 8:45 p.m.
