PORT ANGELES — The College Success Foundation will host Trade and College Night from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The free program for students and parents is in the 100 Hall at Port Angeles High School, 304 E. Park Ave.
Attendees will have the chance to attend three 20-minute workshops to gather information from college, trade school and industry professionals.
Presentations include:
• A 4-year college pathways workshop: a representative from Western Washington University will discuss admissions, popular majors, and career prospects.
• Explore 2-year College pathways: representatives from Peninsula College will discuss transfer programs, expected costs and graduation routes.
• Local Vocational and Technical Training programs offered through Peninsula College.
• The US Armed Forces: including a special presentation on military and civilian pathways into medical fields.
• FAFSA & Financial Aid workshop: learn to navigate tuition costs, federal grants and student loans.
• Prepare for scholarship notebook: learn the first steps and the dos and don’ts.
