FORKS — U.S. Highway 101 was partially blocked Monday afternoon due to a serious collision, the State Patrol said.
A car struck a pedestrian on the highway near milepost 153, about 40 miles south of Forks, said Sgt. Darren Wright, state patrol headquarters public information officer.
Alternating traffic was limited to one lane, Wright said.
The condition of the pedestrian who was struck was unknown as of 4:30 p.m. Monday. The road was expected to reopen by 6 p.m., Wright said.
“Please slow down and drive safe,” Wright tweeted. “Help keep first responders safe while working.”
