PORT ANGELES — Traffic will be reduced to one lane at the intersection of Marine Drive and West Second Street beginning today.
City contractor Scarsella Bros., Inc. will start excavation at the intersection there as part of the Wastewater Capacity Improvement Project to upgrade and expand wastewater conveyance capacity in West Port Angeles.
Work will begin at 5 a.m. today and go on to 5 p.m. It will continue from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
Traffic control will be in place for the duration of activity, with traffic reduced to one lane and controlled by flaggers.
Following completion of the excavation work at that site, traffic control and excavation work will progress westward along Marine Drive. Additional details will be provided as the project moves forward, city personnel said.
