GARDINER — Work crews will shift traffic onto a new bridge over Contractors Creek during overnight construction next week.
Drivers will see alternating single-lane traffic on U.S. Highway 101 at milepost 277.9 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday night through Thursday morning, according to a press release from the state Department of Transportation.
The lane closures, between Gardiner and Discovery Bay, will allow work crews to pave areas next to the current bypass route.
Eastbound traffic is expected to be shifted onto the new bridge by Tuesday morning, and westbound traffic will be shifted to the new bridge by Thursday, WSDOT said.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
