The boards of local government agencies will meet next week on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Jefferson County

The three Jefferson County commissioners will review and discuss the scope of the draft Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail comprehensive plan when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

The commissioners will hear an update on COVID-19 and monkeypox from Dr. Tom Locke at 9:45 a.m., conduct a workshop on Open Public Meeting Act guidelines for boards and committees at 10:30 a.m. and a quarterly workshop with departmental directors at 1 p.m.

Clallam County

The three Clallam County commissioners will consider rescinding the county’s COVID-19 emergency resolution, work on the 2023 capital budget and review the draft 5-year capital plan during their weekly work session Monday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• An update on the plan to allocate funds from the settlement of major opioid-related lawsuits from Stephanie Lewis and Jolene Kron of Salish Behavioral Health Administrative Services Organization.

• Agreements with Scarsella Brothers, Inc. for work on the lower Dungeness floodplain restoration project and several budget revisions related to the project.

• A letter to U.S. Sens. Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray and U.S. Rep. Derek Kilmer voicing opposition to the Financial Data Transparency Act.

• An agreement with KnoxWorks for $18,000 to provide project management and policy support to the county’s Housing Solutions Committee.

• Authorization for staff to submit a boating facilities grant application with the Recreation and Conservation Office for the Lake Pleasant boat launch.

• A public hearing regarding the adoption of several debatable budget emergencies.

Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will consider a $20,000 funding request from the Clallam County Economic Development Council when they meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

The Forks City Council will conduct a public hearing regarding a proposed 2023 property tax levy when they meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

The council will discuss the vacancy in position 5 left by Mike Gilstrap’s resignation.

The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission will discuss the Duckabush Estuary Restoration Project when they meet at 8:30 a.m. Friday.

The discussion is part of a three-day commission meeting Thursday through Saturday in room 149 of Kalispell Hall on the Colville campus of the Community Colleges of Spokane, 985 S. Elm St., Colville.
