Waterfront Trail portion

Signs mark the closure of the Waterfront Trail portion of the Olympic Discovery Trail at the Morse Creek trailhead east of Port Angeles on Tuesday.

The popular trail will experience daytime closures from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday so crews can perform storm repairs and mitigate slide areas while preparing for future winter storms.

The affected area stretches from Morse Creek west to Ennis Creek at the site of the former Rayonier Paper Mill.
