SEQUIM — The view from the Sequim Transit Center is getting better.
By the end of the month, three additional surveillance cameras will be installed outside the building at 190 W. Cedar St.
Those go with three large video screens just put up inside the center, which serves as the Sequim City Council chambers.
That’s so that those who attend council meetings will find it easier to see the numerous PowerPoint presentations shown by city planners, said Steve Rose, Sequim’s information technology manager.
Until now, people in the audience had to crane their necks to see the old-fashioned pull-down screen behind Interim City Manager Robert Spinks’ desk.
The big, black screens are brand-new to the city, but the exterior surveillance cameras are not, Rose noted.
