PORT ANGELES — Clallam Transit will provide free bus rides to the Clallam County Fair and other destinations Thursday through Saturday.
There will be no fare for all routes except the No. 123 Strait Shot on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Clallam Transit officials said.
The Ride With Us! promotion is intended to encourage public transportation during the annual fair, which begins Thursday and ends Sunday at the Clallam County Fairgrounds, 1608 W. 16th St., Port Angeles.
“It’s a great opportunity to try out our service and head out to the fair,” Clallam Transit Operations and Planning Manager Steve Hopkins said.
The fairgrounds in west Port Angeles can be accessed on weekdays and Saturdays on Clallam Transit’s No. 24 Cherry Hill or No. 26 West Side routes.
Both routes have buses running every half hour throughout the day and early evening.
There is no fixed route service to the fairgrounds on Sundays.
