The North Olympic Peninsula is featured in the March 2003 issue of National Geographic Traveler.
The cover of the magazine features the phrase “Road Trip! An Olympic Peninsula Escape.”
The article highlights the Hoh Rain Forest, lavender farms in Sequim, Lake Crescent and the Olympic Mountains through the eyes of author Andrew Nelson.
“The Olympics and their peninsula are still surprisingly, romantically wild,” Nelson wrote. “Even now, no roads traverse the interior.”
