SHINE — Contractor crews working for the state Department of Transportation will remove trees near the Hood Canal bridge from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday.
Drivers can expect delays of up to 10 minutes while trees are felled.
The trees will be removed in preparation for construction of a metered roundabout at the intersection of state Highway 104 and Shine and Paradise Bay roads planned for later this summer.

Work crews will monitor bridge openings and will resume work after bridge-related congestion eases.
For safety reasons, the work must be performed during daylight.
