PORT TOWNSEND — The trial of a Port Angeles man who pleaded not guilty to second-degree attempted murder in October was postponed Friday in Jefferson County Superior Court.
Donovan Smart, 21, who is out of custody on $100,000 bail, appeared in front of Superior Court Judge Keith Harper.
The trial, which initially was scheduled to begin Jan. 6, is scheduled for May 19-May 22 and May 27-29.
It will be preceded by an omnibus hearing Feb. 14, a readiness hearing April 25 and a pretrial hearing
May 9.
Smart is accused of stabbing Seattle resident Paul Arcadi, 46, once in the chest and several times in the upper back at the WorldMark Discovery Bay Resort at 141 Orcas Drive in Discovery Bay on Oct. 4.
Arcadi was treated for his injuries at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton.
