PORT ANGELES — The trial of a woman accused of trying to kill her husband and two children is set for April 4.
Sheree L. Clemons, 26, appeared in Clallam County Superior Court on Friday as Judge Ken Williams scheduled her trial.
Her attorney indicated staff from Western State Hospital will conduct a mental health evaluation on Clemons in the Clallam County jail, where she is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
A week earlier, defense attorney Ted DeBray told the court that he is confident Clemons is competent to stand trial.
Clemons is charged with three counts of second-degree attempted murder for allegedly setting fire to a Sequim motel room in which she was staying with her family Feb. 5.
No one was injured in the blaze.
She has pleaded innocent to the charges.
