FORKS — A Hoh tribal fisherman is missing on the Hoh River in West Jefferson County, and a search will continue for him Tuesday.
The 22-year-old unidentified tribal fisherman was casting a net with another man when their boat flipped near the Hoh River Resort, authorities said. The man’s companion managed to make it to shore.
The U.S. Coast Guard helicopter from Port Angeles searched a three-mile stretch of the river by air, but did not find any signs of the missing man.
The river is a murky gray from the recent rainfall.
Crews suspended the search at dark and plan to resume in the morning.
