LAPUSH — The Quileute tribe is hosting a contest to name a Twilight-themed cabin.
The plan is to remodel a cabin in a “Team Jacob” interior.
The contest will be run through Facebook.com, so those who want to enter must be members of the site, the tribe said in a news release.
To enter the contest, log onto the Facebook account and visit the Quileute Oceanside Resort fan page, http://tinyurl.com/25f2642.
Those who are not already “fans” must click “like” at the top of the page.
Then make a comment under the status update that is announcing the contest. In the comment, fans may submit up to three names to be considered in the contest, the news release said.
The tribe and town figure prominently in the Twilight saga.
The books tell the adventures of human Bella Swan and her vampire boyfriend Edward Cullen.
Quileute teen Jacob Black throws a kink in the romance when he tries to woo Bella.
Later in the series, it is revealed that Jacob and several other teens from LaPush are werewolves, which developed to protect the tribe and other humans from vampires.
The contest began May 28 and will close on Monday, June 14.
Once the contest is closed, a committee will choose is five favorite names, the news release said.
Those names will be presented to Quileute Tribal Council to determine the winner of the contest.
The winner will receive one free night’s stay at the renovated Twilight cabin.
