PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles School District has named Maizie Tucker as a student representative to the district’s board of commissioners.

Tucker, a senior at Port Angeles High School, will begin her term in September and conclude in June. She joins Lincoln High School senior Laken Folsom who continues for another term after serving for six months at the end of the last school year.

Student representatives hold non-voting seats on the board, they participate in board discussions but cannot make motions, vote, hold board offices or attend executive sessions.
