SHINE — Bridge preservation engineers from the state Department of Transportation will begin in-depth inspections of the state Highway 104 bridge over the Hood Canal at 10 a.m. Monday.
The inspections will require twice daily bridge openings up to one hour each time, according to a DOT press release.
The openings are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. weekdays Monday through April 26.
The bridge will be closed to all vehicular traffic during the inspections.
Crews will combine the inspections with marine openings as much as possible, DOT said.
