Officials with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office will speak at two free community workshops on protecting one’s identity.
Sheriff Bill Benedict and Chief Criminal Deputy Brian King will speak from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Sunland Golf and Country Club, 109 Hilltop Drive, in Sequim; and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at Port Angeles Senior and Community Center, 328 E. Seventh St., in Port Angeles.
They will discuss who is at risk for identity theft, how thieves receive information and what they can do with it, what you can do to protect your personal and financial information, what you can do if you become a victim of identity theft, and how identity theft can affect you.
The workshops are hosted by Tracy Wealth Management of Port Angeles.
