BRINNON — An Elma woman pulled out into U.S. Highway 101 traffic from a parking lot and hit a car driven by a Port Angeles man traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 101 head-on, the State Patrol said.
Vicki C. Anderson, 74, was listed in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Sunday after she was airlifted to a Seattle hospital following the 12:55 p.m. Saturday wreck.
Talon D. Roloson, 21, of Port Angeles was not listed as a patient at Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend on Sunday.
Troopers said Anderson failed to yield to Roloson when she pulled out of the Whitney Gardens and Nursery parking lot. Roloson, who was driving a Chevrolet southbound on Highway 101, hit Anderson’s Toyota, troopers said in a memo, adding that both vehicles came to rest in the ditch on the northbound side.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, the State Patrol said. Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved.
Both vehicles were completely destroyed.
