PORT HADLOCK— Two women were injured in a head-on wreck on Chimacum Road in Port Hadlock today (Friday), the State Patrol said.
Lynn Rae Chesterfield, 54, of Port Townsend, was driving southbound in a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe when it crossed the center line and collided with a 1999 Ford Mustang driven northbound by Dawn Inez Lovitt, 50, of Poulsbo, at Elkins road, according to a State Patrol collision memo.
The collision was reported at 7:24 a.m.
Chesterfield was taken to Harrison Medical Center in Silverdale. Her condition was not immediately available.
She was cited for failure to yield, troopers said.
Lovitt was taken to Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend, where she was treated and discharged.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, troopers said. Drugs or alcohol were not involved, they added.
