PORT HADLOCK — Two women, one from Port Townsend and another from Chimacum, had been treated and discharged from Jefferson Healthcare hospital by Thursday morning after a two-car wreck on state Highway 116 in Port Hadlock on Wednesday evening.
Bonnie L. Holt, 38, of Port Townsend and Judy S. Jennings, 41, of Chimacum were taken to Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend after the wreck at the intersection of state Highway 116 and Cedar Lane, the State Patrol said.
Released from hospital
Both had been released as of Thursday, a hospital representative said.
The State Patrol gave this account of the wreck.
Holt was headed east on Highway 116 in a white 1999 Ford van at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday as Jennings was headed the opposite direction in a gray 2009 Hyundai Accent.
Holt tried to turn left from the highway onto Cedar Avenue, and her Ford hit Jennings’ Hyundai.
Both came to rest in the westbound lane.
The State Patrol listed the cause of the wreck as Holt failing to yield.
Trooper Russ Winger, State Patrol spokesman, said Holt is expected to be cited.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, the State Patrol added.
