PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two individuals on investigation of burglarizing a home.
David Pharr, 35, and Adriana Johnson, 35, remained in the Clallam County Jail on Monday. Pharr was being investigated for second-degree burglary while Johnson was being investigated for residential burglary, second-degree theft, possession of a controlled substance and first-degree trafficking in stolen property.
The alleged burglary occurred April 8 in the 3000 block of South Mount Angeles Road. An investigation found that the home was forcefully entered and valuable items were stolen, including music equipment and a coin collection with an estimated value of more than $2,500, the Sheriff’s Office said.
A relative of the homeowner saw a man and woman driving a suspicious vehicle away from the house, the Sheriff’s Office said. The front bumper of the vehicle fell near the driveway of the burglarized home, and it was recovered for evidence.
Neighborhood surveillance video also captured the suspect vehicle in the driveway of the victim’s home. Pharr and Johnson were later identified as being in the vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office said.
On Thursday night, deputies responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle abandoned in the parking lot of a store a few miles east of Sequim. The car’s headlights were on, and it appeared to have been freshly spray painted. The vehicle’s license plate didn’t match the vehicle identification number, the Sheriff’s Office said.
That vehicle was determined to match the suspect vehicle from the burglary. While deputies were on scene, another vehicle with four occupants, including Pharr and Johnson, approached them.
Deputies determined that Johnson had sold a musical instrument in Bremerton a few hours earlier. They obtained a search warrant for both vehicles and recovered both musical equipment and the coins that were believed to have been stolen.
A search of Johnson’s belongings revealed she was in possession of suspected crystal methamphetamine, the Sheriff’s Office said.
