PORT ANGELES — Two Coast Guard personnel were killed Saturday night when a Honda slammed into a guardrail and careened into a second vehicle on the U.S. Highway 101 bridge over McDonald Creek.
Washington State Patrol troopers were investigating the crash scene at press time.
The names of the crash victims were being withheld pending investigation and notification of kin.
Troopers would not say if the victims who died — the 19-year-old male driver of the Honda and his 21-year-old female passenger — are local residents, but both vehicles had Washington state plates.
