BLYN — Construction crews will complete a two-lane bypass for U.S. Highway 101 at Chicken Coop Creek this week.
The bypass will occur from 8 p.m, Wednesday night to 6 a.m. Thursday, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Drivers can expect to see alternating single-lane traffic with intermittent stops of up to 10 minutes throughout Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
Traffic will be redirected onto the bypass, with a reduced speed limit of 35 mph, on Thursday morning.
The bypass, between mileposts 271 and 273, will allow for the removal of fish barriers beneath the highway.
The highway bypass is expected to be in use until late summer.
The work is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled, according to WSDOT.
