PORT TOWNSEND — Disabled American Veterans (DAV) has announced two new service officers to help veterans in the Port Townsend area.
Vietnam veteran John Hamilton and retired U.S. Army officer Paul Cahill will assist veterans prepare claims for veterans’ benefits from the Department of Veteran Affair.
DAV assistance is available from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Port Townsend Community Center, 620 Tyler St.
Assistance is on a first-come, first-served basis; veterans can sign up at the DAV podium in the center’s entry.
