Two free community feasts are planned on the North Olympic Peninsula today while others are set for Thursday.
The Thanksgiving Eve community-wide free feasts are in Port Angeles and one in Port Townsend.
Salvation Army
PORT ANGELES — The Salvation Army will serve a free community meal from noon to 2 p.m. today.
The meal will be at the soup kitchen building, 123 S. Peabody St.
Mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, turkey, green beans and pie will be served.
Last year, the Salvation Army fed about 200 people at its Thanksgiving Eve feast.
Volunteers are welcome. Those interested in volunteering are asked to call Jessica Guthrie at 360-452-7679.
St. Paul’s dinner
PORT TOWNSEND — St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will host a traditional Thanksgiving dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.
The free dinner, now in its 10th year, will be served in the parish hall, 1020 Jefferson St. Meat eaters, as well as vegans and vegetarians, can partake in a traditional hot meal with homemade desserts and conversation at this community-wide event.
The dinner is made possible by parishioners and community members who donate food, cash and their time, according to St. Paul’s usually offers its “Just Soup” lunch service Wednesdays, but the full meal will replace the lunch service.

PORT ANGELES — The 11th annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Healthy Community
SEQUIM — Olympic Peninsula Healthy Community Coalition will host a free Thanksgiving Dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday.
The meal will be served in the Sequim Boys and Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St.

Free rides to and from the dinner are available.
The dinner is sponsored by Olympic Peninsula Boys and Girls Club, Sequim Food Bank, Molina Health Care, Walmart, Olympic Medical Center, Costco, Price Ford and Rainshadow Coffee.
United Methodist meal
SEQUIM — A traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner will be served at 4 p.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave.
Reservations are required to ensure enough food is prepared. To place a reservation, call the church at 360-683-5367 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, or email dinner stumc@aol.com.
The free dinner is part of Trinity’s community dinner program.
Dinners normally are served the last Thursday of each month.
Due to other holiday season activities, there will be no dinner in December, event organizers said.
Hardy’s Market
SEQUIM — Hardy’s Market in Sequim will offer free traditional Thanksgiving meals while supplies last beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday at the market, 10200 Old Olympic Highway.
Meals can be dine-in or takeout, one per person.
Event organizers request that no one come early.

BRINNON — A free Thanksgiving community dinner is planned at 3 p.m. Thursday.
The dinner will be held at the Brinnon Community Center, 306144 U.S. Highway 101. Attendees are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert to share, reservations are not required.

FORKS — Forks community churches will host a free Thanksgiving dinner from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Hoh dinner
FORKS — The Hoh Community Thanksgiving Dinner, which was originally scheduled for today, has been rescheduled for this coming Sunday.
The meal, which is hosted by the Hoh Tribal MSPI/VOCA program, will be at 2 p.m. in the tribal gym at 2464 Lower Hoh Road, near Forks.
