Two vehicles in rollover wreck

PORT ANGELES — No serious injuries were reported after a two-vehicle rollover wreck at U.S. Highway 101 and Kolonels Way east of Port Angeles.

The wreck was reported at about 7:39 p.m. Tuesday. According to Clallam County Fire District No. 2, responders arrived to find one vehicle on its side leaking fuel.

A 1997 Ford Ranger driven by an unidentified 23-year-old Port Angeles man lost control while attempting to make a right turn onto Highway 101 from Kolonels Way, striking a 2012 Ford Ranger that was attempting to make a left turn, according to a press release from the fire department.

The driver of the 1997 Ford Ranger, which landed on its side, climbed out of the vehicle and was walking around before first responders arrived.

The fire department did not identify the drivers because of privacy concerns.

There was damage to the driver side of the 2012 Ford Ranger’s bed.

The drivers of both vehicles were treated and discharged by medics at the scene.
