SAPPHO — Two individuals were transported to the hospital after a two-car crash, according to a Washington State Patrol memo.
Both vehicles involved in the incident, a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder and a 2016 Chevy Tahoe, were totaled.
At around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night, the Chevy Tahoe was stopped at a construction light at Wisen Creek Road going westbound on US Highway 101. The Nissan Pathfinder, which was also travelling westbound on US Highway 101, failed to stop at the light and struck the Chevy Tahoe from behind.
Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway.
The Chevy Tahoe’s driver, 41-year-old Nicole Wheeler, and passenger, 45-year-old Theodore Colfax, were transported to Forks Community Hospital following the incident.
Updated status was not available from the hospital.
The driver of the Nissan Pathfinder, Zoe Lavoie, was charged with driving under the influence, according to the memo.
