PORT ANGELES — Contractor crews will close U.S. Highway 101 near the Tumwater Truck Route at 7 a.m. Monday.
The road will be closed between the truck route and Pine Cutoff Road for about 80 days while work crews remove a barrier to fish passage on Tumwater Creek, according to a press release from the state Department of Transportation.
A marked detour route will direct travelers around the closure, WSDOT said.
