PORT TOWNSEND — About 100 people from the Puget Sound area participated in a nine-hour “Truth Event” on Saturday, hearing about UFO sightings and government coverups.
“This was a rare event,” said Edmonds attorney Michael Hall.
“It’s unusual to have this level of expertise in one place.”
Appearing at the conference were Peter Davenport, James Clarkson and Nicholas Redfern, each providing different views of the extraterrestrial experience.
A fourth expert, Jack “Kewaunee” Lapseritis, who was to speak about the Sasquatch, canceled at the last minute.
“There were a lot of things that I have not heard before,” said Margaret Bartley, executive director of the Seattle Metaphysical Library.
Erin Crook of Bremerton said that Saturday’s event compared favorably with other similar gatherings.
“I’ve been coming to UFO conferences for 15 years, and people like to hear the facts,” she said.
Davenport said not all of the people who attended the conference believed in UFOs, but they were interested in learning more about the topic.
The next “Truth Event” will feature Michael Cremo and will take place at 1 p.m. April 30 at Fort Worden Commons.
