November unemployment rates on the North Olympic Peninsula rose significantly while statewide the jobless rate saw a slight decrease, according to estimates released by the state Employment Security Department today.
In Clallam County, the unemployment rate went from 8.6 percent in October to 9.8 percent in November.
Jefferson County saw its unemployment rate jump from 7.6 percent to 8.4 percent in the same month.
Statewide, the unemployment rate dropped from 9.3 percent to 9.2 percent, according to the ESD.
