PORT ANGELES — A woman bicyclist has died of injuries sustained in a collision between the bicycle on which she was riding and a car.
The collision occurred shortly about 2:30 p.m. on state Highway 112 near Elwha River Road, about two miles west of the junction with U.S. Highway 101.
The Washington State Patrol confirmed that the bicyclist had died. Her identity has been withheld until notification of family members.
The highway, which was closed for about four hours, is now open.
