PORT ANGELES — A male pedestrian crossing Front Street late Wednesday night was struck by a westbound car.
An Olympic Medical Center spokesperson said this morning that the pedestrian, John L. De Stackelberg, 58, of Sequim, was treated and discharged.
Port Angeles Police Sgt. Glen Roggenbuck at the scene said De Stackelberg, who was wearing dark clothing, was crossing Front at Albert Street when he was struck by the westbound car.
The driver was identified as Paul Gottlieb of Port Angeles. Gottlieb, a senior writer for the Peninsula Daily News, was not injured.
Gottlieb said this morning that police told him that he will not be cited.
