The name was not available, perhaps because next-kin had not been notified, said Penelope Linterman of the Emergency Management Department, who said she was called about the homicide at about 11:30 a.m.

Deputies are seeking Patrick Drum, no age available, who is believed to be on foot in a wooded area off Blue Mountain Road and Gellor Road, Linterman said.

He is considered armed and dangerous, she said, and residents of the area are being advised to stay inside, keep their doors locked and phone 9-1-1 emergency dispatch if Drum or anyone suspicious is seen.

She did not know why Drum is being sought.

Drum stands 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighs 165 pounds, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said.

He has a shaved head, and was last seen wearing tan Carhart clothing.

A dog team has been ordered to come in to seek him, and a Customs and Border Protection helicopter is overhead, Linterman said.
