Update: Second main break near first one fixed in Port Angeles; water restored

PORT ANGELES — A pesky 12-inch water main on Marine Drive which severed in two places in as many days, is now fixed.

Water service was restored to all customers — including the Port Angeles Yacht Club and Castaways Restaurant — by midafternoon.

The hole was filled in and a temporary fix will be in place by morning, said city Public Works Director glenn Cutler.

The full work probably won’t be done until spring because of the cold weather, Cutler said.
