SEKIU — Two residents were treated and released for their injuries after their motorcycle hit a deer Saturday afternoon.
Martin L. Crilly, 59, of Sekiu was riding a black 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on state Highway 112 one mile east of Sekiu at 4:22 p.m. Saturday, according to a State Patrol report.
A deer attempted to cross the road and was struck by the motorcycle.
Crilly and Carol A. Crilly, 59, a passenger on the motorcycle, were taken by ambulance to Forks Community Hospital, according to the report.
Both had been treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said Sunday.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were thought to be involved, according to the State Patrol, and no charges are pending.
