MONROE — The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission voted this afternoon to approve a cooperative plan between the State Parks and the Port Townsend Public Development Authority for management of Fort Worden State Park.
“It went perfectly,” said PDA Executive Director Dave Robison said after the meeting.
“It was a unanimous 7 to 1 vote.”
Robison traveled to the meeting with a delegation that included PDA board members Cindy Hill Finnie, Scott Wilson, Bill Brown, Gee Heckscher and Norm Tonina along with Port Townsend School of Woodworking director Tim Lawson.
The delegation spent the day before the meeting answering questions about the proposal from commissioners and staff, Robison said.
