VICTORIA — Forecasters say today’s weather will be fit for a queen — Queen Elizabeth II that is.
Residents of Clallam and Jefferson counties venturing to Victoria to see Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip should be greeted by blue skies and temperatures in the mid-50s, forecasters say.
That’s a far cry from the low-50s and drizzle that greeted the queen and Duke of Edinburgh when they arrived Friday on Vancouver Island.
Peninsula residents wanting to get a glimpse of the queen and duke today need to be on the 8:20 a.m. sailing of the MV Coho in order to arrive in time for the royal festivities.
The royals are expected to make short stops today at Christ Church Cathedral at 11:25 a.m., the Fairmont Empress Hotel at 12:20 p.m. and the Parliament Buildings at 2:30 p.m.
