EIGHTEEN JEFFERSON COUNTY farms opened their gates to the public for the free, self-guided 8th annual WSU Farm Tour on Sunday (Sept. 18).
The event was billed as “a festive day of farm fun and local food adventures.”
In addition, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 17) as well as Sunday, the farm tour was complimented by the free, self-guided 3rd annual Olympic Peninsula Fiber Farm Tour (wool and alpaca producers).
Visitors on the two tours could explore farm fields and orchards, hug a sheep, enjoy music and sip artisan ciders.
“Farm Tour Central” was located at Chimacum Crossroads, where state Highway 19 and Center Road cross.
