PORT ANGELES — Volunteers in Medicine of the Olympics — VIMO — has moved into a larger building at 819 E. Georgiana St. and plans an open house from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today.
The public is invited to the free event, a showcase of the free clinic, which provides medical, dental and behavioral health care to the uninsured and underinsured people of Port Angeles and environs.
VIMO is also in the midst of a fundraising campaign to replenish the financial reserves it had before purchasing its new building.
The deadline is March 1 for the effort to raise $50,000, and information can be found on VIMO’s Facebook page and on the crowdfunding site IndieGogo at www.igg.me/at/vimoclinic.
To contact VIMO for medical or counseling appointments, diabetes education, the dental and hypertension clinics or about becoming part of the volunteer team, phone 360-457-4431.
The clinic’s website, www.vimoclinic.org, also has some information but is in the process of being updated.
