PORT ANGELES — Maureen Wall has bought six new wooden barrels to age her red wine vinegar.
The barrels are in the basement of Wall’s home and business at 314 W. First St., a yellow-painted downtown building constructed in 1912 as an International Order of Odd Fellows lodge that Wall has renovated.
Through her business, Odd Art, she wholesales the vinegar to local merchants.
The vinegar is available at the Camaraderie Cellars winery in Port Angeles; The Red Rooster Grocery in Sequim; Nash’s Farm Store in Sequim; Wine on the Waterfront in The Landing mall on the Port Angeles waterfront and Pane d’ Amore bakeries in Port Townsend and Sequim.
The wine comes from Camaraderie Cellars. The aging process can last five years.
