PORT ANGELES — A P-40 Warhawk lands at Fairchild International Airport on Wednesday as part of the Wings of Freedom Tour. It was one of five WWII bomber and fighter aircraft that are visiting Port Angeles until noon Friday.
The planes — a B-17 Flying Fortress, a B-24 Liberator, a P-40 Warhawk, a B-25 Mitchell and a P-51 Mustang — will be available to view today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Walk through-tours are $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 years and younger.
Flights cost $400 in the B-25 and $450 in the B-17 and B-24. P-51 flight training is $2,400 for a half hour and $3,400 for a full hour.
P-40 flight training is $2,200 for a half hour and $3,200 for a full hour.
