Volunteers needed for Sequim Balloon Festival

SEQUIM — Volunteers are sought for the inaugural Sequim Balloon Festival on this coming Labor Day Weekend Saturday through Monday.

With every four-hour shift, volunteers will have a chance to win a free ride in a hot-air balloon.

The winner will be determined by a lottery.

Volunteer positions are still available for ticket sales at the main festival site at Grant Farm and the Sequim Valley Airport; staffing the information booth at the main site; festival setup and takedown; setup of festival pre-event music performance Friday morning; help in the family area during the festival; flaggers and monitors; field security; balloon crews to assist with morning flights and potential evening flights; homes for the balloon pilot-home stay program; and the pilot concierge program where helpers introduce pilots to the Sequim area.
