distributes General Election Voter Guides with the Sunday, Oct. 19, editions — just in time for the newly distributed absentee ballots in the two counties.
The guides will also be available free of charge this week at public contact points — such as courthouse, libraries and PDN offices in Port Angeles, Port Townsend and Sequim.
Meanwhile, the PDN and Peninsula News Network are holding TV “meet the press”‘ election forums with the candidates.
All interested voters are invited to attend these forum to learn about the candidates — and watch the interplay between them and three journalists.
The forum done with the Sequim City Council candidates was aired Thursday night on Wave Broadband (formerly Northland) cable TV channel 3 in Port Angeles, Carlsborg and Sequim
The forum with candidates for the Sequim School board was aired Friday.
Television tapings will be held this week — again, the public is invited to attend:

8 p.m.: Port Angeles City Council Position 3, Grant Munro and Fred Norton.

6 p.m.: Clallam County Director of Community Development, Bob Martin and Rob Robertsen.
6:30 p.m.: Port Angeles School Board Position 1, Charlie McClain and Pete Peterson.

These forums will be aired on channel 3 between Tuesday and Oct. 28, then rebroadcast up until the Nov. 4 general election.
