Voting on Sequim 2020 budget projects begins Friday

SEQUIM — The city of Sequim is soliciting input to select projects for its 2020 budget.

Five projects

Exhibits describing the five candidate projects will be displayed at the Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar Ave.

The projects and their total costs include:

 Pioneer Park Walking Path, $76,000.

 Festive Holiday Bells, $50,600.

 Bigbelly Automated Trash and Recycling Stations, $130,000.

 Pet Waste Stations, $5,500.

 Water Stations in City Parks, $62,800.

The displays will be available to view, and to vote on, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

Open to all

Voting is open to all but will be weighted in favor of city residents with three counts; Olympic neighbors with two counts; and visitors with one count.

Dare to Dream cards

Voters also are encouraged to fill out Dare to Dream cards to suggest other projects for the city to consider.
