PORT TOWNSEND — Jefferson County Public Health has cleared Teal Lake is cleared for use, since recent samples showed a low level of potentially toxic blue-green algae.
Elevated levels remain, however, at Anderson Lake, Lake Leland and Gibbs Lake.
Public Health is removing its health red advisory warning from Teal Lake, west of Paradise Bay, said Andrew Shogren, county Environmental Health, Water Quality director.
“Through continued active sampling, we have been able to see lower levels of potentially-toxic blue-green algae in Teal Lake,” Shogren said.
