SEATTLE — The state Transportation Commission is scheduled to vote Tuesday on a 2.5 percent increase in state ferry fares.
The vote will come at the end of the commission’s final hearing on the increase in Seattle. Previous hearings were scheduled on Vashon Island, in Silverdale and the San Juan Islands.
The final hearing is set for 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Puget Sound Regional Council, 1011 Western Avenue, Suite 500, Seattle.
The fare increase would affect Washington State Ferries, but not the ferries between Port Angeles and Victoria, which are operated by private companies.
